Langhe is a well preserved secret of Piedmont. A uniquely varied landscape which has not yet been discovered by the general public. Gourmets have already found their way to Langhe, because of the famous piemontese truffle and their wonderful wine. In addition to the trusted regional grapes Nebbiolo and Dolcetto, you will also find Chardonnay, Riesling, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon back there.
Wines from Langhe of the DOC class are similar to the Barolo DOCG, but too young to get that designation. Most DOC Langhe wines only mature 12 months and not 38, as if it were a Barolo. But it also has advantages: you can drink this wine younger, and savor the taste of the young Nebbiolo.
